However, after I have gone through so much free information and free materials, I realized one problem. Free information often has good quality, but is hard to be used as a good reference. This is very similar to compare newspaper with books. Information from newspaper or from news website these days is usually updated and good for you to have instant access to what’s going around the world now, but they are pieces of information here and there. What do I mean by that? For any of the topics from newspaper, if you want to go any deeper and learn more, you will have to look for books with much more details.
My Learning Experience
Therefore, the information from free resources is usually not good enough or at least hard to follow to complete a certain task that you need to put in certain amount of efforts. Still not sure about what I am talking about? No worries. Let me tell you my story.
I decided to build up my personal brand by using a blog, so I followed the instructions and demonstrations from Smart Passive Income (SPI) blog and set up my blog in a very short time (A big thank you to the owner of SPI blog, Mr. Pat Flynn for his great work). To further improve my blog, I kept using tips from SPI and Internet Business Mastery (IBM) podcast, which is a never ending learning process. After all the basic settings, I am currently working on adding more quality contents to my blog and at the same time, I want to implement SEO strategies to drive more traffic to my website.
Lots of times, I search on Google for some particular tactics to improve the popularity of my blog, i.e. how to have more people to like my Facebook Page in order to drive more traffic to my blog. From the search result, I landed on numerous websites teaching different methods. There are lots of great contents, but the information is limited to a certain degree and most of them do not show all the necessary details on how to apply the method step by step. In addition, the information I eventually found does not always worth the time and energy that I spent on searching.
How to improve learning efficiency?
After wasting significant amount of time and energy, I was facing a very serious question – how to improve the efficiency of my learning? Free information are usually random, so it’s really not efficient for me to read pieces of information all over the place by also giving that same piece of information might be repeated over and over from different resources. I need a complete guide for me to follow through the steps.
I have gone through different research and checked out referrals from the bloggers I can trust on the Internet. Eventually I found Internet Business Mastery Academy (IBMA). Just like the description from its official website, it’s a “complete training for your internet business success”.

IBMA has total 12 modules. Each module starts with an introduction video and includes audio files, PDF/Word work sheets and demonstration videos to show all the details to build up a successful internet business from scratch. I have gone through all 12 modules in 2 months and learned all the basics to start a business online. I started with knowing pretty much nothing and after I have gone through the whole course, I now have a solid understanding of how to build an online business. And the great information is not limited to the modules.
Inside IBMA, there are many recorded interviews with people who have successfully built online businesses by using the same model that IBMA introduced and there are also experiences shared by gurus like Tim Ferriss (the author of 4 hour work week). By listening to these interviews carefully, I was given opportunities to stand on the shoulders of giants and definitely increase the chance to success.
In additions, IBMA has a good collection of great tools with good feedback from the experts, so I can adopt the tools without any doubt. This saved me lots of time as I do not have to search around and compare the quality between different tools.
At last and not the least, IBMA has a great community, which is a platform for all the IBMA members to come together, communicate about business ideas and find answers to the issues with their businesses. It was a forum before and has recently been switched to a Facebook Group. I have to say, this community is fantastic. Great people, great helps…I just can’t tell you enough how good this group is.
