My review of online learning resources 4 – Dukeo blog and 2createawebsite blog

My ultimate goal is to build a successful Internet business and live my own dream. However after setting up a goal and making a plan to work towards the goal, I often found myself in a situation that I do not have enough information to build up or grow my business. In other words, I need to have some step by step guides to walk me through the process of completing certain tasks. For example, to set up a blog, to drive more traffic to my website, to grow the number of loyal customers – just to list a few.  Missing details results a lot of frustrations and misleading. I don’t know if it’s just me, but if you have the same feelings and face the same problems I have, this article might provide you with some help.

As those of you who is new to my blog, this article is the 4th blog post of my online learning resources and for the previous 3 articles, please find them here.

What’s in it for you?

I have spent lots of time to search on Google and been to different websites referred by other good bloggers and website owners I already have trust in. I have to say, the majority of my time was wasted, but I understand this is the way how learning experiences go and with 80/20 rule in mind, I know 80% of the useful information is only from the 20% of the websites or resources I spent time on. However, I want to offer you a big favor after my frustrations and upsets – to provide you with good information resources to save you time and energy. Here is my brief, if the time and energy I have wasted could save your time and energy in the future, I would love to share what I learned and how I was benefit from the information.

Dukeo by Stephane Kerwer is an amazing website. I found it when searching for “building up an email list” on Google. It was because of the particular information that I was looking for regarding one topic, and lucky enough I came across this great resource and could not stopping reading from it. Just like Stephane said,

“You must learn about SEO, traffic generation and marketing to make a living online.”

And he is showing his audience exactly how to make all of above happen.

There are two major reasons I like Dukeo:

– Gives lots of details about a certain topic. I bet you do not see that many details very often online, especially they are totally free. Not sure about what I mean, please read one or all of the following links:

In my opinions, it’s not quite appropriate to call them blog posts, because they are way longer than the length of a regular blog post. With all the details provided, I am pretty sure you will be shocked after absorbing the information (I really mean, applying the information when reading, action takers!)

– Frequent update. Dukeo blog publishes 3-4 blog posts every day, sometimes even more frequent than that.  From my personal experience, I have never seen any information website with that much new information every day. Plus, they are all great quality contents. Quantity or quality? Dukeo actually has both.

I came across Lisa Irby’s in my early days when I had absolutely no clue about how to start a business online (except for eBay I should say). Lisa uses simple language to show her audience step by step on how to start a website from scratch. If I didn’t have any trouble to understand her content as a newbie and dummy, I don’t think you will have any hard time either.

Even now, I still constantly go back to 2createawebite to refer to the basics – it’s all because of Lisa’s special way of delivering information – just like you are listening to your best friend. There is really, no rocket science.

Alright, I think I will stop here and leave it up to you to dig deeper into these two great blogs. If you have any great learning experiences to share, please do not feel shy to leave a comment below.

Best Regards,
